Reiki Level 2: Symbols and Distant Healing
Reiki and Seichim are described in this teaching as a heightened vibration of flow, balance, health and abundance. Simply living from this space influences the world around you. The expansion is real.
Symbols have a distinct place in this approach to Reiki and are described as separating it from other healing modalities. Each symbol holds a specific vibration and enhances Reiki energy. Reiki can be practised without symbols; within this teaching, adding them is understood to make the healing more powerful and the energy stronger.
Usui taught four Reiki symbols: three at Level 2 and one Master Symbol. Level 2 attunement connects the student with the three second-degree symbols for life, consciously and subconsciously. The symbols are described as being impressed in the student's mind and aura, blending with the metaphysical energies they represent. Thinking of, drawing or visualising a symbol then connects the practitioner immediately with that energy.
With practice and confidence, the use of the symbols can become personal. A relationship develops with each one, along with a sense of when and how to use it in a session and where it fits within the work.
