History of Sekhem, Seichim and All-Love

Sekhem did not begin as a system. It began as an experience, and only later found words, names and forms of teaching. This page traces that unfolding as Patrick Zeigler describes it.

The stone interior of the King's Chamber in the Great Pyramid at Giza

1980 — The Great Pyramid

While travelling in Egypt, Patrick Zeigler spent a night inside the Great Pyramid at Giza. What he met there was not a technique but a living current: light, sound and an overwhelming sense of love moving through the body. He has taught from that night ever since.

Sufi zikr, Sudan and the Himalayas

In the years that followed, the current was deepened through Sufi zikr and remembrance practice, through humanitarian service in Sudan in 1985, and through extended silence and meditation in India and the Himalayas. These are the roots of the breath, sound and heart practices taught today.

The full account is told chapter by chapter on Patrick Zeigler's biography page.

How the name Seichim came into use

As the work began to be shared, students asked for a name. The word Seichim was used for the energy in those early years, and it spread widely, taking many spellings and many forms as different teachers developed their own lineages and attunements.

Because of that spreading, people today meet the work under several names. Sekhem, Seichim and SKHM all point back to the same original experience, while the teaching styles built around them differ considerably.

Sekhem All-Love today

Over four decades the emphasis moved steadily away from symbols and levels and toward direct experience: presence, meditation, conscious breath, Inner Sound, movement and heart awakening. That emphasis is what Sekhem All-Love names.
