Sekhem Breathwork: Returning Power and Welcoming the Younger Self
Explore how Sekhem breathwork can bring buried feelings into awareness, reconnect with the younger self, and reclaim personal power through breath, presence, and chosen farewell. Read the teaching gently.
This teaching explores how Sekhem practice and breathwork can bring physical sensations, buried emotions, and held experiences into awareness. It offers guidance for meeting younger parts of the self, allowing anger and grief to move, and giving the release space to integrate. The practice is approached as a process of returning power and opening to further life.
Energy and Emotion in the Practice
The Sekhem experience can bring waves of sensation through the body, especially through the fingers. Some people notice a light touch or feather-like feeling, followed by a stronger movement of energy. These sensations may arise while the eyes are closed, even when there is no external sound or physical cause that can be identified.
The experience can also open an emotional passage. A participant remembered sitting beside her mother as her mother was dying. The memory brought emotion into the practice, and she was gently invited to return. The experience was deeply positive overall, while still carrying the tenderness of grief.
