Sekhem: The Mental Reset: A Regression and Visualization Technique for Emotional Healing

A person practicing the Sekhem mental reset as memories of different ages unfold in luminous gold and deep blue light.

This teaching presents a mental reset technique that moves backward through life, the womb, conception, and the time between lives. It also explains how to support someone safely and allow the body to release what emerges without force.

Counting Back Through Your Life

The mental reset can be very powerful. In a deep reset, you may simply go out for a while. Hopefully, you remain conscious as this happens, but everyone is different. Some people may be out for two minutes; others have been out for hours.

The method itself is simple. Begin with your current age and count backward slowly, out loud. As you say each number, let yourself remember and feel what it was like to be that age. Certain ages may bring back particular events. You may remember a milestone birthday, a birth, or an important period in your life. Let yourself return to that place.

The deeper healing often begins as you enter the teenage years, when many issues start to form, and then continue into early childhood. Keep counting all the way back to birth. Set your intention to become that age again. Become that little girl or that little boy, and remember what was happening.

An emotion may rise at a particular age. You may feel a wave move through you, or feel that you are about to fall. If it is strong, go with it. The feeling may be connected to something earlier, so continue moving back through the years. Sometimes people are already on the floor by the time the count reaches five or six. If you are still standing at zero, lie down and allow the process to continue.

You become that age, you become that little girl, you become that little boy, and you remember the things that are going on.

Stand directly on the floor rather than on a mat, so you feel grounded and are not made unsteady by the cushioning.

Begin at your current age and count backward out loud, slowly but without drawing it out unnecessarily.

At each number, let yourself remember and feel what it was like to be that age.

Continue through the teenage years and childhood, all the way to birth.

If a strong wave comes and you begin to fall, go with it and allow the people supporting you to help you down safely.

If you remain standing when the count reaches zero, lie down.
