Sanatan Culture as the Expression of Truth
Sanatan culture is presented as an opportunity to understand a civilisation grounded in eternal principles. The word culture is explained as the expression of truth: “san” refers to truth, and “kriti” refers to its expression. In this understanding, Sanatan culture is not created by one person. It follows eternal laws and is described as divinely established.
The lives of Rama and Krishna are presented as examples of divine incarnations who showed human beings how to live, how to act righteously and how to fulfil their responsibilities in household life. The four stages of life are part of this structure, including the responsibilities of household life and the possibility of knowing truth while living within it.
This culture is also described through the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the understanding that the whole world is one family. The Earth belongs to everyone. The hope that India may again become a world teacher is therefore connected with the recovery of its deeper principles, not merely with outward achievement.
