Where Sekhem comes from
Patrick Zeigler traces Sekhem to his own experience inside the Great Pyramid of Giza in 1980. He began teaching the energy publicly in 1984. That personal account, not a Reiki lineage, is the source of Sekhem All-Love. Read Patrick's full story.
Sekhem, Seichim and SKHM
As the work spread, the name Seichim came into use, along with spellings such as Seichem and later SKHM. Different teachers developed their own lineages and attunements, so practices taught under these names vary widely. The history of Sekhem explains how that happened.
Similarities
Both are approached by many people as spiritual energy practices, and both invite quiet attention and presence. That shared ground is one reason people interested in Reiki often become curious about Sekhem.
Differences
Sekhem All-Love has its own origin and has moved away from fixed symbols and levels. Patrick's emphasis is direct experience: meditation, conscious breath, Inner Sound, movement and the awakening of the spiritual heart. It is offered as an experiential path, not a certification system, and we do not teach or certify Reiki.

Questions beginners ask
- Are Sekhem and Reiki the same thing?
- No. They are separate practices with separate origins. People sometimes meet them in the same circles, but Sekhem All-Love has its own source and its own way of practice.
- Is Seichim a form of Reiki?
- Seichim is one of the names used for this energy in its early years, as Patrick describes it. As the name spread, different teachers built their own lineages around it, so what is taught under that name varies.
- Do you offer Reiki certification?
- No. Sekhem.app does not offer Reiki training or Reiki certification. Our workshops teach Sekhem All-Love.
- Can I explore Sekhem if I already practice Reiki?
- Yes. Many people arrive with experience of other energy practices. You are welcome to come as you are and simply experience Sekhem All-Love for yourself.
